This smacks of all the wrong things and when anyone asks for a grape variety then they are really looking for something at the house end not the upper level. Booked Via toptable for a Sunday, was not made away that upstairs restaurant was closed so was crammed into a corner by the bar. Not great for a special occasion. Cannot fault food or the service just the booking. They sat us at the bar, but quickly gave us a table when we complained.

The fact that you might be sitting at the bar should be made very clear when you make the reservation. We especially enjoyed the mozzarella starter. The seafood spaghetti was very good, although the portion size was a little small. The service was excellent. L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon undoubtedly serves very good food but the portion sizes - and the wine measures - are absolutely tiny. Lovely meal, nice ambience and great food.

Really enjoyed our dining experience here. Service was OK but had to ask for refill of water, more butter and took a while to take our drinks order so not as good as service I have received in other restaurants. Second time here, the first was an evening meal with oodles of time to savour and sample the fine food on the tasting menu.

This time was a business lunch on the special price three course menu also available as 2 or 4 courses. Excellent value for money for food of this quality but we should have allowed at least one and a half hours for the meal: More a case of allow enough time for this kind of meal than anything else.

I took my boyfriend for the lunch with matched wines for his birthday. We sat on the benches around the kitchen which I found a little odd at 1st but he absolutely loved being able to watch the kitchen at work during the meal. The food was delicious and we both enjoyed having the wines matched for us, although it was often difficult to understand what the waiters were saying. They even brought out a small piece of cake with a candle on for him without me asking.

I really like the layout of the restaurant — set around the open kitchen. The food was delicious and presented with great flair but on the small side. My veal was extremely soft and melted in the mouth. The steak less so; the flavour was great but it was a little chewy. We started with a cocktail — which was very nice and were offered selected wines by the glass per course.

We were there for a 2 course lunch with wine. Lovely food, very nice wine, and excelent service. All was absolutely perfect from the starter to the dessert. We took the menu with matching wines, and it was definitely a good idea. We loved it and will be back there soon. The menu was very appealing and we couldn't decide what to have as the choice was wonderful. The execution was even better We were too late for the pre dinner menu so we ate a la carte which was pricey but again, as I said, worth it in the end.

A very pleasant experience at L'Atelier. Slick restaurant and bar, with a nice feel to it, being quite different to other restaurants in its decor. Service very good, and our waiter was most professional but friendly with a personality to match. We were seated at the nicest table in the restaurant in my opinion, however although I like the high seating, the chairs are not comfortable without back support. All courses were very well presented as expected, and I opted for matching wines with a pre-theatre menu, working very well.

The offer is very good value, but pricey if going off the A la Carte, although the sea bass was excellent from that menu. Check it out as much better than the Ivy next door I will not be returning. Lunch at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon was amazing, we went there last Sunday and would like to go back every week-end! The food is excellent, all around the product, which shows the love from the Chef for products. The service was perfect, waiters were very kind and attentive, and not too pushy.

We finished our dessert on the private terrace enjoying the sun. It was our anniversary and the staff kindly brought us a "Happy Anniversary" cake with candles. Service downstairs was good, in the bar unfortunately very disappointing had to go inside after 15minutes waiting to ask for something, and food was alright as well, except our desserts.

Our first visit here was for Sunday lunch. Great ambiance, service and the best restaurant food we have had in central London for some time. Reasonable prices for food and drinks. Set menu that was so good we also shared a cheese course and a dessert although we were already satisfied with the two we had planned best Compte cheese ever and very light delicious raspberry dessert. Good choice on both the set menu and a la carte.

The meal was very nice and apart from this mix up, the service was friendly and attentive. We chose our starters from the small tasting dishes menu, they were all cooked to perfection highly recommended! Then chose our 2 courses from the lunch menu.

The sea bream was nice with some nice kick in the sauce and so was the turkey. The dessert was good but not as interesting as expected. The coffee was great. The dishes were quite small, apart fm the tea pot! Service was also a bit of a let down. This was my first time at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon and the attentive service, great decor and fabulous food impressed.

Next time, even if in a group we were four I think I will opt to sit at the bar, since one can see each dish being prepared. The restaurant has very friendly staff, excellent ambience and is worth every penny for a special occasion!

Having prieviously visited L'Atelier in Paris, the food and venue in London is as brilliant as across the water. Be sure to spend that special occasion at L'Atelier soon! To really experience this place one has to go for the tasting menus. Unfortunately, the 3 courses meals that we had book doesn't do justice to this place. I would be happy to come back and try more of their dishes. Food was up to the standards of a Michelin chef. We went for 2 tasting dishes and one main course.

Great opening of the meal with foie fras amuse bouche. Waiters were knowledgable on the wine. Ate at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon on the 2 courses for Very lovely, posh restaurant and was seated at the bar with an excellent view of the kitchen action. The menu was disappointingly limited - melon soup or salad and steak tartare or fish. We weren't impressed with the food, but the tart sampling off the regular menu for dessert was fantastic.

My partner ate from the set menu and I had dishes from the a la carte. Both meals we imaginative and beautifully cooked.

The passion fruit souffle was probably the nicest dessert I've ever had. What was really nice was that we were escorted to the bar on the third floor after the meal to finish our drinks so we could take our time. But the full menu was so tempting, and it WAS my friend's birthday, that we decided to push the boat out. My beef carpaccio was beautifully spiced; langoustine ravioli on savoy cabbage exquisite; main course of scallops mouthwatering; passion fruit souffle and icecream perfect.

Went to L'Atelier de Joel for lunch, we had the set menu which is small but everything was delicious! The watermelon soup with goatscheese was very different, interesting and very tasty!

Service is excellent and the sauvignon blanc we had was wonderful. I would definitely go back. We had a lovely light lunch at l'Atelier. The interior is very modern and different, and it is a really nice experience to have such a good view of the kitchen and going's on. We actually had a clear view of the preparation of our starter! Staff are professional and welcoming. Had a lovely business lunch at Robuchon and it was amazing.

The food was faultless, the atmosphere wonderful although I would have preferred to sit at a table rather than on high stools at the bar and the location great. We ate from the lunch menu of 2 or 3 courses and the monkfish was gorgeous, as was the delicious desert of the day.

Would definitely go back! Went for 3 course set lunch. Food was delicious and service very friendly and professional. We'd booked the 2 course meal deal but didn't fancy it when we got there because the main menu looked so good. The meal at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon was divine!

It's not cheap but worth it! Really good food excellent value. The only two little problems with it were the staff trying far too hard to be your best friend and the background music. Still did not spoil the culinary experience.

L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon London: I went with my vegetarian friend, and was impressed that, despite there not being a vegetarian option for the main course, she was offered a vegetarian dish as part of the lunch menu. LOvely evening at L'Atelier followed by drinks in the bar upstairs after. Food portions small but delicious From 7pm onwards it certainly buzzed with a really warm atmosphere. The staff are all polite and friendly, the food is a little limited on the set menu with the offer, however you are always given the choice to look at the a la carte menu, the food is incredible.

The wine list is extensive and their sommelier is excellent. Great for a late romantic dinner. Amazing food, drink and service!

Definitely a restaurant to treat yourself to. Cannot fault it at all. We enjoyed our meal a L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon. The service was very attentive and the atmosphere good even early evening.

The food at L'atelier was amazing. We decided not to have the set menu but instead sample a few dishes. The presentation was unique and inventive, and each bite was packed with taste. I'd highly recommend it. Unfortunately once we were seated, there was a mix up in the kitchen and they forgot about us so 1 hour in, we had to remind them we were still there and that we hadnt been served our entree yet!

They were pretty horrified at this and gave us a comlimentary pre-starter from the chef which was amazing and a complimentary glass of wine each. The meal was very nice and apart from this mix up, the service was friendly and attentive.

We chose our starters from the small tasting dishes menu, they were all cooked to perfection highly recommended! Then chose our 2 courses from the lunch menu. The sea bream was nice with some nice kick in the sauce and so was the turkey. The dessert was good but not as interesting as expected. The coffee was great. The dishes were quite small, apart fm the tea pot!

Service was also a bit of a let down. This was my first time at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon and the attentive service, great decor and fabulous food impressed. Next time, even if in a group we were four I think I will opt to sit at the bar, since one can see each dish being prepared. The restaurant has very friendly staff, excellent ambience and is worth every penny for a special occasion! Having prieviously visited L'Atelier in Paris, the food and venue in London is as brilliant as across the water.

Be sure to spend that special occasion at L'Atelier soon! To really experience this place one has to go for the tasting menus. Unfortunately, the 3 courses meals that we had book doesn't do justice to this place. I would be happy to come back and try more of their dishes. Food was up to the standards of a Michelin chef.

We went for 2 tasting dishes and one main course. Great opening of the meal with foie fras amuse bouche. Waiters were knowledgable on the wine. Ate at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon on the 2 courses for Very lovely, posh restaurant and was seated at the bar with an excellent view of the kitchen action. The menu was disappointingly limited - melon soup or salad and steak tartare or fish.

We weren't impressed with the food, but the tart sampling off the regular menu for dessert was fantastic. I was in awe and want to come back. The food and atmosphere at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon was out of this world. Friendly staff and very pleasant dining experience. Fantastic food, fantastic service and if anyone has the power just to stick to the 'set menu' and not be deviated by the regular menu all power to your self will!!

Highly recommned this place!! All menu choices are distinctive and unique but the ultimate experience was tasting the food — so exquisite! Will definitely be going back but maybe for a special occasion instead of lunch.

L'Atelier, Covent Garden provided an enjoyable lunch. Food was good although the waiters were a little hard to understand. The food is of high quality and interesting, whilst the ambience is great.

Best mash I have ever tasted. Portions tend to be on the small side but fine if you order 3 courses. Service is bizarre as it swings between outstanding maitre d', sommelier and lacking detail to attention waitress. Stylish decor, great food and friendly, professional staff made the visit memorable.

My partner ate from the set menu and I had dishes from the a la carte. Both meals we imaginative and beautifully cooked. The passion fruit souffle was probably the nicest dessert I've ever had. What was really nice was that we were escorted to the bar on the third floor after the meal to finish our drinks so we could take our time.

But the full menu was so tempting, and it WAS my friend's birthday, that we decided to push the boat out. My beef carpaccio was beautifully spiced; langoustine ravioli on savoy cabbage exquisite; main course of scallops mouthwatering; passion fruit souffle and icecream perfect. Decor great; kitchen watching fascinating; food not very hot due to garnishing time! Music a bit loud; service too attentive. Michelin-star food served at a counter like in an American diner. There is also a formal dining room, but i think they will book you at the counter if you reserve thru Toptable.

Our soups were excellent; the fish ok but needed a more interesting sauce. Whilst at times the service was a little chaotic, this just added to the charm, it was great fun, the waiting staff were charming and the food was lovely and if you go for the set menu - a bargain too. You could even order a few bits of the main menu and not break the bank. The drinks were pricey, but no more than you'd expect - just don't order without looking at the price list.

TT rate provides excellent value. The full menu has some tempting food on offer as well. Service excellent, waiter Karim friendly and knowledgeable. Absolutely amazing - the whole experience at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon was wonderful. The decor is sleek black and red, with great service by knowledgeable French staff.

The quality of the food is outstanding, with the combinations of flavours really standing out. We had small tasting plates - the best way to sample as many exquisite dishes as possible!
